Each year the Southern Festival of Books in Nashville welcomes more than
200 authors, 90 exhibitors, and thousands of visitors. In October 2002 it would also be the setting for
"The Adventures of Dr. Thorneycroft Huxtable and Detective Ruelke"
From October 10th until October 14th Music City
welcomed the famous WelcomeHolmes Discussion Leader Ron Kritter, Member of the
Nashville Scholars aka Thorneycroft Huxtable, MD, PhD, etc. and Claudia
Ruelke (aka The Berlin Detective) from Germany. While it was Ron's fourth visit to Nashville and
the Scholars of the Three Pipe Problem, it was Ms. Ruelke's first trip
to the Festival and the United States.
We would both like to heartily thank the Nashville Scholars for the warm
welcome we received and for making us feel right at home in Music City!
A very special "thank you" also goes to Davice, Jim and Gael for acting
as guides, providing transportation and making sure that our stay in
Nashville would be a pleasurable and memorable one and to Phil Cornell
for providing the stunning "Dr. Hux" and "Detective Ruelke" cartoons.
You guys are the best!
Ron Kritter and Claudia Ruelke
